For the past few weeks, you’ve been able to find tons of great ideas on social media. Every day around 18:00h (CET), a new video will be posted, featuring an exercise from the book like you might have never heard before! Like & subscribe…

A great project started in the second month of 2020! Every Saturday morning at 8:00 a new training video appears on YouTube. In every episode I will practice with you for 20 minutes so that you do not have to do everything on your own. That’s handy, right!? I do know that practicing at home, on your own, is quite difficult. Doing nice things is perfect, but those serious technical exercises… Pfff…
All exercises are in the same sequence, namely: 4-2-4-2 3-2-3 loud-loud soft-soft. But, every week, it will be used in a way that is just that little bit harder. This way we train your wrists, fingers and especially your head and ears. And those last two are perhaps the most important thing of all!
There will be a total of twenty videos of around 20 minutes, but the first are already online. Are you in?
It is not easy to become a good drummer. Try to play the exercises well, becoming faster, integrate more and more techniques, play more and more variations, get better control over the muscles. And let’s not forget steadyness and volume control…
But creativity is a difficult quality, one that we can hardly train specifically. Taking risks, experimenting and making mistakes is the best route for this.
To show you how I do it… I have taken 2 chapters from Book of Fills (3.1 and 3.3), chosen a feel (even/triplet/bluesrock) and started to jam… Watch some of these 4 video’s & I hope you get inspired to do the same!
Hey, I just made a video to tell about the books, the audio & the videos… (only in Dutch) Interested? Watch it below or go to YouTube and please subscribe to the channel!
While studying the exercises in book 1 (beats) & book 2 (fills) you can struggle with the notes. Besides learning to play the drums itself, improving your reading skills can be a different cup of tea.

Weekly, on every Sunday, a new podcast episode (vodcast) will be launched to inspire you with exercises taken from the books. Every week a beat & fill are used to ‘jam’, true audio without all the fancy editing and EQ-ing. Want to subscribe? Go to your favorite podcast-app and search for 360DRUMSbook.
